Dr. Hopkins is currently a research physical scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey South Atlantic Water Science Center in Raleigh, NC. Prior to joining the U.S. Geological Survey she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center in Annapolis, Maryland.

Research Description

Assessing hydrologic, chemical, geomorphic, and ecological changes that happen to aquatic ecosystems after urbanization. Assessing the effectiveness of stormwater management practices. Developing geospatial tools to map stream channel and floodplain characteristics at regional scales.
