Registration is now open for the 2018 North Carolina ASABE State Section Meeting on Friday, October 26th  from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM in Weaver Laboratories at NC State. Registration closes October 18th. Lunch is provided as part of the registration. Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be available for attending. View a draft agenda here.

The program features a keynote address delivered by BAE alumnus Roger Hoy, Director of the University of Nebraska Tractor Testing Lab. The main part of the program will focus on Big Data Applications in ASABE with both academic and industry presentations. The group will be also be updated on the NSF CREST Bioenergy Center and on BAE programs and initiatives at NC State University and NC A&T University. We will also have a presentation from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors on Engineering Ethics.

This meeting will be held in conjunction with the ASABE Student Career Fair at 2:30 PM. Interested companies should contact Garey Fox. Participation in the career fair does not require participation in or registration for the NC ASABE State Section Meeting.

Postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate students, are welcome to submit a one-page abstract for presentation of a poster at the meeting that will be displayed throughout the meeting. The poster session will be from 2:30-4:30 PM. The abstract should include the student’s name, university, and degree program; co-authors on the poster; and a 250-300 word summary of the project.
