Potential research areas are numerous for this position; examples include, but not limited to, wireless sensors and sensor networks and controls for food packaging and inspection, environmental monitoring, precision irrigation, variable rate application of water and pesticides, pest and disease detection in crops, machine and process control, facility automation, traceability, and precision livestock farming (PLF) (e.g., animal identification and health monitoring).
