Who is your adviser and what are you studying?
Dr. Cheng. I am classifying the microorganisms involved in the production of biogas from switchgrass and swine manure, specifically cellulose hydrolysis.

What first made you interested in this field?
I’m very passionate about sustainability and did undergrad research related to sustainable energy technologies. I took a course with Dr. Cheng my senior year and became really fascinated with bioenergy and the direction it’s heading.

What do you like most about the department?
All the friendly people!

What is a little known fact about you?
I love doing puzzles.
