Seminar: Waste Management & Air Quality Research at University College Dublin

Dr. Tom Curran is a Fulbright Scholar at NC State in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering on a project to develop an advance warning system for sewer network blockages.
The presentation will focus on Waste Management & Air Quality Research in the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering at University College Dublin. Current projects include agri-food waste valorisation, sewer blockages (‘fatbergs’), and ammonia emissions from pig and poultry farms. While the focus of the presentation will be on the aforementioned topics, an overview of University College Dublin and potential opportunities for collaboration in research and education will be included.
