In the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering there are a variety of way to kick-back, relax or find places to study between classes.
Study Room

The student study room is located off a very quiet hallway. It's a nice place to retreat and concentrate on studies alone or with friends.
Student Lounge

Located near the lounge area are student mail boxes, copier and snack machines. The lounge attracts students, faculty, and staff and every now and then the department head pops in to sit and chat awhile.
Pavilion and Picnic Tables

The pavilion is a spacious open covered area where students and faculty can often be found having lunch, chatting or reading. People who travel around campus by bike will find several bike racks under the pavilion. The pavilion is also the site of many other department activities like cookouts, ice cream socials and the department's spring graduation ceremony.

Courtyard @ BAE

The courtyard is located between Weaver's administration building and the main Lab. The courtyard is a quiet area with benches where you can chat on a cell phone or catch a breather between classes.
BAE Graduate Student Offices

The department makes every effort to accommodate graduate students with shared office space when possible. To date the department has been very successful.
BAE Lawn Area

The lawn in front of Weaver Labs is used not only for outdoor class activities but it's a great place to relax and enjoy time with fellow classmates. Volleyball is a favorite Bio & Ag activity and the department Penny Wars / Pie Throwing event brings everybody out of the buildings to the front lawn. Penny Wars is an event held before the holidays where students collect pennies for the needy in jars. The motivation for giving is enhanced with chances to pie faculty members who's jars are full. Weaver labs is also lucky to have a campus bus stop outside our doors.
