D. S. Weaver Laboratories on the NCSU Campus
Home to the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering
The laboratories consists of two buildings--The fore most Administration building and the Research and Teaching Laboratories. Most of the BAE faculty and staff are located at the Weaver Labs building complex. However, additional extension faculty and staff are located on Centennial Campus in the Research IV Building and at various field sites in the state.

To avoid a campus ticket please get a pass from Room 102 in Weaver's Administration building (lobby area) upon arrival pass costs $2. Passes must be displayed in the cars front window to avoid campus ticketing. You may call all ahead to ready a pass Phone: (919)515-2694

Weaver Laboratories Building Statistics and History

Weaver building drawingWeaver Labs -82,758 sq. ft. 
Weaver Administration Building -7,939 sq. ft.
Weaver Garage Bldg.-5,193 sq. ft. 
Weaver laboratories was built in sections over a period of years.

(1)The original section of Weaver Labs was built in 1957. 
(2) Weaver Administration Building and the 2nd section of Weaver Labs was built in 1960
(3) the 3rd section of Weaver Labs including its 2nd floor was built in 1969.
(4) The Weaver garage building was built over a 10 year period as funds were available.
(5) Space for a future building is indicated on the front lawn.
