A Technology Minor
The Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering offers a minor in Agricultural and Environmental Technology. This minor provides students an opportunity to apply engineering and information technology to production agriculture and environmental systems.
The objectives of the minor are to:
1. Apply engineering and information technology to production agriculture and environmental systems.
2. Gain basic knowledge and understanding of engineering technology utilized in machine systems, environmental systems, materials, processes and structures.
3. Increase ability to efficiently manage technology in agriculture production, environmental systems, and safety and health.
Requirements
The minor requires a minimum of 15 credit hours with a grade of 'C' or better.
At least one course must be selected from BAE 323, 332, or 432 NCSU AET Minors page (Shown in bold in Elective Courses List) for awareness of environmental issues. The minor is open to all students at NC State except students majoring in Agricultural and Environmental Systems (AES). The program is flexible in order for students to be able to emphasize the area of their interest. A description of these BAE courses can be found at registration and records.
