There is a tremendous amount of public education and
outreach material already available, so you don’t have to reinvent the
wheel. Existing education materials often can be used as is or can be
modified to suit your jurisdiction’s needs. Most organizations are pleased
to share their materials as long as you give them the credit.

might suit your needs. Do not use any materials on this website without
first contacting the sponsoring organization and obtaining their

Here is some important advice. Stormwater education
should not be preachy, complex or depressing. Effective outreach messages
combine a simple message with a dash of humor.
