Objectives

  • A knowledge of the broad range of alternative approaches to residential and commercial conservation design
  • An ability to critically assess the strength and weaknesses of various design strategies
  • An appreciation of multiple methods and perspectives in analyzing design problems
  • An ability to analyze policy and provide viable solutions to specific parameters

Credit Hours:

Real Estate Brokers and Agents will receive four (4) continuing education credits for participating in this workshop. NOTE: (Realtors are allowed a maximum of four professional development hours. This maximum applies whether taking one or both courses (Intro and Policy). Credit hours cannot be duplicated in a given calendar year.)

Urban and Rural Planners will receive seven (7) professional development hours for participating in this workshop. AICP approved.

Engineers will receive six (6) professional development hours for participating in the class.

Landscape Architects will receive six (6) continuing education credits, approved by ASLA and NCBOLA. The NCBOLA course number is 7099.

Other professionals will need to contact the governing body of your respective profession.

Please bring copy of your local development ordinance to class. It can be a unified development ordinance or a general planning/zoning development ordinance.
