Introduction to Low Impact Development (LID) and LEED

Workshop participants will be introduced to the basic principles of LID (Low Impact Development) and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
Agenda
- Overview of LID
- Overview of LEED
- Overview of Integrated Management Stormwater Practices
- Overview of policy pertaining to LID and LEED
- Case Studies
- Overview of Economics of LID and LEED
- Hands-on activities, including design exercises
Credit Hours:
Appraisers will receive four (4) continuing education credits for participating in this workshop.
Real Estate Brokers and Agents will receive four (4) continuing education credits for participating in this workshop.
Urban and Rural Planners will receive ten (10) professional development hours for participating in this workshop. AICP approved.
Engineers will receive nine (9) professional development hours for participating in the class.
Landscape Architects will receive nine (9) continuing education credits, approved by ASLA. Application has been submitted to NC Board of Landscape Architects; approval pending.
Other professionals will need to contact the governing body of your respective profession.
