Getting a Project Started...
Who We Work With...Technicians, engineers, extension agents, university faculty, staff, graduate students, other NCSU colleges and departments are welcome. We also work for other state and federal agencies within and outside the university.
The projects must be within the realm of the shops capability and expertise. An initial consultation and financial arrangements will be required before any work will start.
At the consultation meeting and before any work can begin, a FAS account number must be issued by the requesting department for billing purposes by the Research Shop. The name of the departmental bookkeeper or the responsible person.
The Cost...
The Research Shop is a fee based university approved cost center. Charges are calculated based on cost of materials plus labor involved to complete the project. A good faith estimate can be made so funds can be secured for the project.
