Cost Statement to appear on materials. (Sample: (2,500)
copies of this public document were printed at a cost of
$1,300.00 or $.75 per copy).
Recycle logo should appear if using recycled content and ecycled paper should be requested of printers whenever possible.
Print jobs over $5,000 are required to go to the State Division of Purchase and Contract for competitive bidding. See: bookkeeper about the process.

If you are involved with publishing anything on-line or in print be aware of NCS's graphic brand book and style and content manuals. Find the rules at the NCSU Graphic Identity Site. Don't take on a printing job without following proper procedures. See some highlights in right column
About PDF
Note: Some NCSU copiers will convert and image to a pdf and email the pdf right from the copier.
PDF's - Converting files to PDF is a powerful way to make printed materials available on the web or to e-mail.
The free Acrobat Reader form the web is easy however, it does not make PDF files it will only reads them ( the new x version will web connect you to an adobe pdf maker).
Adobe Standard and Pro will automatically install a pdf option icon directly to the menu of many popular software packages.
Acrobat Standard is used to make a PDF file. You can create, edit, and share basic PDF files.
Adobe Professional allows you to do even more with pdf files You can make minor changes to text with its text tool. It can create forms that can be filled out and password protected. It can OCR scan book and typed materials into editable text.
If you need to get along without Acrobat check the internet for free pdf software.

Post Extension Publications
Updating and correcting information about your Extension publications faculty need to use the Manage Resources log-on to:
- Change the location of where the original publication is kept so the database can retrieve it
- Review their publications to be sure they are listed in the database
- Check to see if you are a first author on your publications
- Change the introduction which explains the scope of your publication
- Add a new addendum to an original publication
Note: Bio & Ag's publication pages need to also be updated so please notify BAE graphics of any changes.
