Large Format Poster Printing
Poster Printing
The department has a large format HP poster printer (Plotter) located in room 207 Weaver Labs. It will print scientific posters and blueprints from PowerPoint, Word, and Auto Cad. It's a specialized printer which takes training to operate, so only Graphic room personnel are permitted to use this printer. Please make an appointment to have your poster printed and plan ahead 2-3 days. This is a department printer and the cost of printing is a department expense therefore, only Bio&Ag faculty, staff, and students may request Bio&Ag poster printing. Contact: Carolyn Mitkowski
Poster which are not for Senior Design students will need PROFESSOR's PERMISSION to have printed. If a poster is part of a collaborative project between two programs please check with your Bio&Ag or BME professor before requesting Bio&Ag printing. This is because printing charges may have to be negotiated between the two departments. All other departments please use other campus venues listed at the end of this page. (Additional Note: CALS student perk... Did you know? Bio&Ag students are permitted to have 2 free student posters printed per-year through the CALS Poster Printing Service

Proofing: Posters should be printed and reviewed before the large format printing stage. You can use your own printer for this - file/print menu/ check "scale to fit paper " This will create a small print-out of your poster. This option scales any file to the default of the printer. For new pptx files don't go directly to the print preview option. Go to PRINT first then choose to "fit to page" and then choose the print preview it's at the bottom of the print menu.
Check your spelling and your alignment of shapes and objects. Let others look at your poster with a fresh eye. See if others can follow the flow of the information you have presented.
Print Time: It takes Bio&Ag about 15 min. to print a properly designed poster.
NOTE: Senior Design-Please be aware of the progress of other groups so there's not a stampede to the large format printer thus causing everyone to be late with their finished posters.
Lamination
Please see the Bio&Ag department lamination page.
