Getting to known you @ Bio&Ag

The department posts general information on new permanent full-time employees both on the web and on building signs. Please look at the photos below to get an idea of what is needed and fill out the new -employee form so we can get your information up promptly.
In your first few weeks of work please supply carolyn_mcitkowski@ncsu.edu photos of yourself or make an appointment to have a photo taken. Photos of you and your field work will be used on your web site as well as on the hall board at Weaver Labs..
Faculty Hall Plaque

Full-faculty are given a hall plaque which displays 3-4 photos of the faculty engaged in activities of teaching, research or extension work. The plaque lists type of degree, the university from which it was attained and the city and state if it is not implied in the universities name. Their is a short general work statement indicating the faculty focus such as research, teaching, extension and what is being done in that area.
Professional EPA & Staff Plaques

This plaque includes the persons title, there building location, degree type and university and a brief statement of the work being done for the department.
Building Directory
At each entrance to the building is a building directory listing The list is updated by the building secretary so please ask them to add you to the list.
BAE Web Directory
Information from the new-employee form is used to add your name and information to our database. You will also receive an established people page on the BAE website. Much of the same information that's needed for the plaque above is supplied on the form.
Web Space
There are several different types of web spaces available for faculty and staff at NC State. The department will use your head shot photo on you people page. example: http://www.bae.ncsu.edu/people/faculty/hunt/
You can create links on your people page and link to your other AFS space locations (course site lockers or extension topic information). Only your resume and main photo should reside in your people folder. All faculty have access to their people page however to get access to other folders on the web you must request research and course lockers as well as topic site locations.
