Procedures for services for the Environmental Analysis Lab in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State University.
About Services
This lab analyzes and evaluates samples for Waste Management and Water Quality. This is a fee-based service for university and government agencies and it is located in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering.
Getting Started
- Contact the lab to determine the level of support required and if the project can be accommondated. Phone: Rachel Huie 515-6766
- Use the Analysis Cost Sheet to determine type of analysis, your costs per number of samples needing analysis.
- Submit a PLANNING AND APPROVAL sheet indicating analysis desired, frequency and duration of the sampling program. Project title and billing information.
- Sample collection, handling and storage procedures are strictly addheared to, following standard methods requirements.
- Complete the CHAIN OF COSTODY sheet when submiting samples

The lab provides four data fields for sample identification: source, type, nature, and code.
Note: solid and liquid samples are recorded and reported separately.
