Call / Submission
Abstract Call is closed. All authors whose abstracts have been accepted for an oral or poster presentation should have already uploaded an electronic copy of their final revised abstract by August 15, 2011. Otherwise, the existing abstract will be used. Oral and poster presenters are required to notify us of their intent to present and attend the conference. Please do so by sending an email to cathy_smith@ncsu.edu.
Notes from the Conference Chairs to all Presenters:
Thank you for your participation in the Philadelphia Low Impact Development Symposium. As either a Podium or a Poster presenter we will need an abstract to promote your presentation to the attendees. This abstract will be available prior to and during the duration of the Symposium over the web. You also have the choice to submit an extended abstract using the same media.
Note: A goal of the conference chairs is to facilitate a post conference EWRI publication. An EWRI subcommittee has been formed to manage this process. To this end no copyright will be held by the conference organizers, and you as the presenter asserts that permission to present has been obtained from the responsible owning authority. Commercialization in the form of touting a firm, company or product is not acceptable.

- Margins - 8.5 by 11 inch paper size (Portrait), with 1 inch margins on all sides.
- Font. 12 point Times Roman
- Length: We request that no extended Abstract exceed 10 pages.

ABSTRACT: The increasing awareness of the detrimental effects of nonpoint source pollution requires new solutions that can be implemented on a variety of construction sites. The current emphasis on controlling only sediment through the use of silt fences may cause many sites to be noncompliant twq3t4w3t4 3wq5g e sg srg strgrdstsRT esrtr se rest.

Oral Presentation Guidelines
Please plan for 20 minutes for your presentation, including Q & A. Please bring your presentation preferably in 2007 MS Power Point with the pptx file extension, on a flash drive and drop it off at the A/V table next to the registration desk at the conference for us to pre-load onto our presentation laptops.
A URL to an FTP site will be provided to speakers a week in advance of the conference start date for those who are ready to send us their presentations early.
Poster Presentations Guidelines
POSTER AUTHORS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN ABSTRACT. As stated above, revised abstracts are due by August 15, 2011.
- Set up: Posters may be set up Sunday Afternoon after 1pm, or Monday morning (early).
- Take Down: The poster should be removed after lunch on Tuesday prior to the end of sessions. Those not taken down by that time will be thrown away.
- Materials Provided: 4-foot by 6-foot standing corkboard or wall space / Tacks
You are encouraged to bring Handouts and Business Cards.
Design Suggestions:
- Title goes across the top. Use 18 (BOLD) or larger font size.
- Next line under title - authors' names, job title/position, company/school, address, and e-mail (16 point type).
- All text should be in 16 point type.
- The poster must NOT be a commercial/product sales poster. Any poster that is deemed to be a commercial advertisement will be removed.
