Running an Analysis

Tutorial: Running an Analysis

This tutorial describes the basic procedure for performing Lateral Effect analysis.

1. Follow steps 1 - 22 of Running a Simulation to setup project and verify that project runs successfully.

2. Review the Model Interface - Analysis section of this help file.

3. Click Inputs > Analysis under the Selection  group.

4. Optional.  Enter a file name for the analysis output file.  If no output filename is entered, then the default filename 'Analysis Output'  will be used.

5. Enter the lower and upper limits as well as the incremental change for each parameter to modify during the analysis.

Set the Incremental Change to 0 for any parameter you do not want included in the analysis.  When the Incremental Change is set to 0, only the lower limit value will be used during simulation iterations.

Click the Reset button to return a value to the default, i.e. the current value listed on the Parameters input screen.

Review Model Interface - Analysis for parameter descriptions.

6. Check either 'All' or the specific soil layers you want to adjust by the conductivity factor during the simulation.  Setting the Conductivity Factor's Incremental Change to 0 will only apply the lower limit factor to all iterations.

7. Click Run Analysis.

8. Current simulation parameters will be listed in the Current Simulation text box.
