Use this procedure to install Lateral Effect version 2.7.0.  Before you begin, make sure your computer meets the System Requirements.

 

Installation Procedure  :

 

1. Download the Installation Package from the following website:

 http://www.bae.ncsu.edu/soil_water/projects/lateral_effect.html
 

2. Double click on the Lateral_Effect_setup_XX.exe file to begin the installation process, where XX denotes the version you downloaded.
 

3. Read the welcome screen and click Next.

 

 
 

4.Read the license, Click on the 'I accept the agreement' option, and click Next.

 

 
 

5.Click 'Browse...' to select an installation location.

NOTE:  Lateral Effect will perform optimally when installed at C:\LateralEffect.  This is not a requirement.

Click Next after install folder is selected.

 

 
 

6. Verify the installation location and click Next.

 

 

7. Define start menu folder name.

 

 

8. Choose if you want to install a desktop shortcut to launch the program.

 

 

9. Verify final install information is correct and click Install.

 

 

10. Wait for files to be installed.

 

 
 

11.Click Finish to complete the installation process.  Optionally, check 'Launch Lateral Effect' to launch the application when the screen closes.
