Running a Batch Simulation
The Batch Run Utility allows the user to enter a list of projects to run. All projects can be run sequentially without additional inputs from the user.
This utility has been re-written as a stand alone utility for DRAINMOD version 6.1.
Tutorial: Running a Batch Simulation
1. Launch DRAINMOD.
2. Click the Utilities Menu Button and choose Batch Run. This will open the batch utility.

3. Click the 'Add Files' button on the right to add projects to the appropriate section ( Hydrology / Salinity or Nitrogen). In this tutorial, we are adding the DHP project to the Hydrology and Salinity Projects.
You can select multiple project files by holding down the Ctrl button and clicking on each file.

4. Click 'Run Hydrology and Salinity Projects Only'. This will run the DHP project and open the log window when complete. Click the red X in the upper right corner to close the log window.

Failed projects can be edited in DRAINMOD. Typical errors are missing files and out of boundary simulation periods.
5. Click 'Add Files' to the right of the Hydrology and Salinity Projects window and choose the WLW and WCW files by holding down the Ctrl button and clicking on those project files. Click 'Open'.
6. Click on the DHP and WLW projects within the batch run utility window. You do not need to hold down the Ctrl button.

Click the 'Remove Selected' button as shown above to remove the selected projects from the batch run window.
Those projects are now removed.
7. Click the Save menu button. Enter a file name and click 'Save'. This will save your current project lists to a file.
8. Click 'Remove All' to discard the WCW project. Your project window should now be empty.
9. Click the Open menu button and choose the file saved above in Step 7. Click 'Open'.
10. The WCW project should be listed back in your Hydrology and Salinity Projects window.
11. Click Exit to close the Batch Run Utility.
