Use this procedure to install updates to DRAINMOD 6. An internet connection is required to download updates.

 
To check for DRAINMOD 6 updates  :

 
1. Start the update check by clicking Help > Check for Updates from within DRAINMOD or by clicking 'Check for Updates' from the DRAINMOD folder located in Program files folder.

 

 
 
2a. Click 'Next' when asked if you would like to check if newer version is available.

 
 
2b. If no new updates are available you will be notified that you have the latest version installed.  Click 'Finish' to complete the update check.

 
 
2c. If updates are available continue to Step 3.
 
 

3. If updates are available you will be prompted. Click 'Next' to continue.

 

4a. The update file will be downloaded.

 
 

4b. If you have DRAINMOD open, you will be prompted to close DRAINMOD before you can continue with updates.  The updated will forcefully close DRAINMOD if you do not close DRAINMOD. That is, you will loose all unsaved project inputs. Click ' Next' after you have closed DRAINMOD.

 
 

5. Verify or change the folder where you have DRAINMOD installed on your computer and click 'Next'.

 
 

6. Verify the update information and click 'Next'.

 
 

7. Updates will be installed on your system.

 
 

8.Click 'Finish' to complete installation process.  Optionally, check 'Launch DRAINMOD 6' to open DRAINMOD when the screen closes.

 

9.Start DRAINMOD by double clicking the desktop icon or navigating to the DRAINMOD folder in your Start Menu.
