This biennial conference provided an opportunity for natural resource professionals to share ideas and lessons learned in stream restoration planning, design, construction, and evaluation. The conference included presentations, discussions, exhibits, networking opportunities and tours of local ecosystem restoration projects. Scientists and practitioners were encouraged to share experiences, network with colleagues, and become involved in shaping the future of stream restoration in the Southeast.
On Tuesday morning, the general session featured a diverse group of invited speakers with expertise in municipal restoration programs, ecological function assessment, community-focused restoration design, and landowner education. On Tuesday afternoon and continuing through Wednesday, there were three concurrent sessions with focus on: (1) Integrating Communities with Stream Systems, (2) Ecosystem Restoration Assessment, and (3) Non-Urban Restoration Experiences. We offered a half-day field tour of local stream projects on Thursday morning.
We gratefully acknowledge our Conference Sponsors!
