Low Impact Development

TNCA Case Study

Over twenty-two Low Impact Development (LID) techniques were implemented at the The North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, NC. Many were installed at the Operations Center which is a Triangle J Council of Government’s High Performance Building. This area serves as a model for low impact development by linking several different stormwater best management practices together. Linking features together enables the landscape’s water cycle to mimic that of pre-developed conditions.
