Temporal Matching of Data
In the Taylor Creek - Nubbin Slough (Florida) project, a reduction in
total phosphorus concentrations was documented following
implementation of BMPs on dairy farms draining to tributaries of Lake
Okeechobee. Fencing, shade, and alternative water facilities to keep
dairy cows from waterways, control of wastewater runoff from dairy
barns, and nutrient management were the primary BMPs. BMP
implementation and land use changes were documented annually on a
subwatershed basis.
