Good Experimental Designs
The Rock Creek (Idaho) RCWP project watershed contributed high
sediment loads to Rock Creek, impairing salmomid spawning, contact
recreation, and fishing. Critical sediment sources were the irrigated
cropland and streambank erosion. The experimental design chosen for
the chemical monitoring was an upstream/downstream strategy with
monitoring before, during, and after BMP implementation in multiple
subwatersheds and on Rock Creek.
