Precool Advisor: A Decision Aid for Precooling Fruits and Vegetables

This computer program was developed to help producers examine the advisability of installing and operating precooling equipment as part of their operation. The purpose of the program is to help users identify and evaluate important physiological features, engineering factors, and economic volume-cost information which can influence the decision to precool crops.

The program requires an IBM compatible microcomputers with at least 640K of RAM memory and DOS version 3.0 or greater. The program will operate from a floppy or hard drive.

Download the PRECOOL.EXE program (121,659 bytes). Make a directory on your hard disk called PRECOOL.

MD C:\PRECOOL

Copy the downloaded file to the PRECOOL directory, for example:

COPY PRECOOL.EXE C:\PRECOOL

Change to that directory and execute the PRECOOL file:

C:
CD C:\PRECOOL
PRECOOL

The program will decompress itself into 46 files.
