COOL

This program has been designed primarily for North Carolina climatic conditions. The assumed constant soil temperature is 55 F. All four walls are assumed to be exterior and constructed of the same materials. You should read Design of Room Cooling Facilities: Structural and Energy Requirements for documentation of this program.

A few notes about the program:

The program requires an IBM compatible microcomputers with at least 640K of RAM memory and DOS version 3.0 or greater. The program will operate from a floppy or hard drive.

Download the COOLZIP.EXE program (64,910 bytes). Make a directory on your hard disk called COOL.

MD C:\COOL
Copy the downloaded file to the COOL directory, for example:
COPY COOLZIP.EXE C:\COOL
Change to that directory and execute the COOLZIP file:
C:
CD C:\COOL
COOLZIP
The program will decompress itself into these files.

To run the program, enter COOL at the DOS prompt.

COOL documentation may be obtained by downloading the compressed self-extracting WordPerfect 5.1 file or by obtaining this compressed self-extracting Postscript file, decompressing it, and copying it to your Postscript printer, i.e.

COPY C:\COOL\COOL.TXT LPT1:
A WWW version of COOL is being considered but is not fully functional yet.
