Measuring Sludge Depth

• Use a 14’ long lightweight rigid pole

• Take a minimum of 10 measurements from around lagoon

• Avoid areas around:

  • Inlet pipes
  • Recycle pumps
  • Irrigation intakes

• Measure depth of lagoon below the top pumping marker - a.k.a. “Start” pumping marker
