Action plan is currently being developed to address both Nitrogen and Phosphorus issues in the Tar-Pamlico River Basin
- Plan being developed through a consensus-building stakeholder process, involving representatives from agricultural, environmental, scientific and regulatory communities
- Unclear if Tar-Pamlico Plan will be similar or not to the Nuese River Plan
“Nuese River” type plans may be instituted statewide for other basins to address water quality concerns
