To promote safety awareness among people at all times
To provide leadership for safety education and assist in promoting
safety activities among all community residents.
Eligibility:
Individual or teams may compete.
Junior Division- 4-H'er must be 9 years of age prior to January 1 of the current year an not have reached their 14th birthday before January 1 of the current year.
Senior Division- 4-H'er must be 14 years of age prior to January 1 of current year and not have reached their 19th birthday before January 1 of current year.
Presentation Ideas:
Emergency care providers
Hospitals, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Firemen
Internet
searches
Electricians, etc.

Suggestions/Helpful Hints:
1.) Use good visuals.
2.) Be prepared to answer questions.
3.) Clearly explain what the specific safety reference is to you presentation.
Judging:
1. Judges will review each presentation and complete a judge's score sheet.
2. Judges will use their own discretion as to whether questions will
or will not be asked.
3. Judges decisions will be final.
Awards:
District Winners - $75.00 Congress Scholarship for each Division Winner
State Winners - $50.00 Bond for each Division Winner
