Electric Project Kit – Plant Soil Monitor Kit
The objectives
of this electric activity are to provide the counties with the necessary
materials and instructions to complete the assembly of an electric kit and
assist with promoting the Electric Program. From this activity participants
will learn about the different electrical components that make up the project
circuit, how to read and follow an electric schematic, and how to safely use
soldering equipment. Twenty kits per county are supplied (batteries not
included) at no cost and additional kits can be purchased. The only
requirements are the recipients must have attended a designated training
session that provides the hands on instructions to build the kits and secondly
the request must come from the county 4-H Agent or Program Assistant. To
order the kits simply fill out the project
kit request form and mail it back to Grant Ellington. Please send the
request form in at least one month in advance of your planned activity date.
Below are additional hands-on electric activities. The materials are not
provided, but can be purchased from electronic hobby stores. Detailed Lesson
plans can be provided if needed.
