Coursework


Advanced math and/or statistics requirement -- both PhD and MS programs must show 6 hrs of advanced math (400 level or above) and/or statistics (500 level or above). This requirement may be met with either 6 hrs of math, 6 hrs of statistics or 3 hrs of math and 3 hrs of statistics.

Engineering Courses Policy -- Students must have a minimum of 15 hrs of 400 level (or above) engineering coursework in their background, either at the undergraduate or graduate levels, prior to receiving an MS or PhD in BAE. This is in addition to the minimum of four (4) engineering courses at the 300 level for applicants coming in without an engineering degree and to all existing requirements by the Graduate School and the department.
