This is the logo for the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State University. The colors of the logo are blue and green representing the colors of nature with blue = water and air and green = earth color. The Bio&Ag logo consists of the letters "Bio" then an ampersand followed by the letters "Ag". The "Bio" is an abbreviation for Biological and is a blue color. The letter "o" in "Bio" is drawn as a globe representing biology and life on earth. The ampersand is colored black. The letters "Ag" are adn abbreviation for Agricultural and are the color green. The letter "g" in "Ag" has a leaf tagged onto it representing plants and growth. The logo was designed in 2009 by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Communications Department.
This new logo replaces the former BAE logo designed in 1996 that used the departments initials 'BAE". The lettering Bio&Ag will help the general public quickly understand the type of engineering we do as well as help the department celebrate its 75th anniversary as a department.
