Conference Registration Fees

Conference Registration

Registration for the three-day conference program starting at 1pm on Monday through Wednesday (Nov. 3, 4 and 5), including the evening receptions scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. (Pre-conference workshops on Monday morning are optional and at an additional cost.)

$425 if registered and paid by October 3, 2008
$500 if registering after Oct. 3 or paying on-site.

18 PDHs (professional development hours) are offered for the conference, approved by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. 10 credit hours are approved by the NC Board of Landscape Architects.

Government, Non-profit and Educational Discounts

The Government, Nonprofit and Education rate is open to all employees of a federal, state or local government entities, including employees of public higher education institutions and employees of nonprofit organizations.

$275 if registered and paid by Oct. 3, 2008
$350 if registered after Oct. 3 or paying on-site.

Student Discount

A student rate is available but you must be a full-time student to qualify. This fee is $150. Proof of your student status is required.

Optional Pre-Conference Workshops: (Monday, Nov. 3, 8:30am-11:30) These workshops are concurrent. Choose one.

Cost per person: $85.

Workshop #1: Applying Watershed Assessment of River Stability and Sediment Supply (WARSSS) to Restoration Design
Instructor: Dave Rosgen, Wildland Hydrology
3 PDHs (professional development hours) are offered for this workshop, approved by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.

Workshop #2: Invasive Plant Management in the Riparian Setting
Instructor
: Lee Patrick, Invasive Plant Control

Optional Fieldtrips (Thursday, Nov. 6, 8:00am - 5:00pm) Choose one:

Cost per person: $85 - transportation to field sites and boxed lunch is included.

Fieldtrip #1 - Urban Watershed Restoration and Low Impact Development (LID)

Fieldtrip #2 - Rural Stream Restoration and Enhancement

Optional Pre-conference activities (Sunday, Nov. 2)

Fly fishing expedition - $75 per person. Please click on the Activities link for more information. Your fee includes a boxed lunch, transportation and fly box.

Payment, Cancellation and Attendee Substitution

Payment Policy:

Registration must be paid in full and received by NCSU on or before Friday, October 3, 2008, to qualify for early registration discounts. Registrations received after Friday, October 3, 2008, will require payment of the full registration fee.

Cancellation Policy:

Event cancellation requests must be submitted by email to cathy_smith@ncsu.edu and received before Friday, October 3, 2008, to receive a full refund, less an administration fee of $50. Cancellation requests received by NCSU after Friday, October 3, 2008, will be ineligible for refund.


Substitution Policy:

Attendee substitutions from within the same company may be made at any time. Please send an email to cathy_smith@ncsu.edu.

Professional Development Hours:

This conference offers 18 PDHs for professional engineers, approved by the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, plus 3 PDHs for the pre-conference #1. In addition, the NC Board of Landscape Architects has approved the program for 10 credit hours (Course No. 6076). Other professionals may appeal to their respective boards to obtain professional education credits.
