NC Stream Restoration Institute and NC Sea Grant, in conjunction with our co-sponsors and partners, are hosting a 4-day conference in Charlotte on October 2-5, 2006 to learn about stream restoration planning, design, construction, financing, and monitoring in the Southeast. This biennial conference will include research presentations, restoration case studies, posters, industry exhibits, networking opportunities, and tours of local stream restoration projects. Share your knowledge and experiences, learn from and network with other experts, and become involved in shaping the future of stream restoration in the Southeast. The 2004 conference in Winston-Salem, NC attracted just under 400 attendees from 24 states with over 60 presentations and 40 commercial exhibitors. Click here to view the current list of Exhibitors.

The presentations have been converted to low resolution pdf files for security reasons and for faster downloading. Some presentations are still being added to the list so please keep checking back for added presentations. Click here to view the pdf files.

* A job fair will also be featured at the conference. A bulletin board will be available near the registration tables where employers may post job openings and job-seekers may post resumes. Potential employers should register at the registration desk to be assigned a number. Each employer will get a numbered table in the job fair room which will be open from 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday, October 3.

* An Internet Cafe will be available, courtesy of W.K. Dickson & Co., Inc.

* The Social will be held in Grand Ballroom C & D, courtesy of Buck Engineering, A Unit of Michael Baker Corporation, and River Works, Inc.

* There will be a reception on Monday evening, after the pre-conference workshops, at Aquavina. Aquavina is located within walking distance at 435 South Tryon Street.
