Plan of WorkGeneral InformationPolicyThe university now requires students to have a plan of work. The plan of work shows the courses that the student intends to take in future semesters. Students who have matriculated should have their plans of work complete all the way to graduation. Students who have not yet matriculated should have at least the first two years of the plan complete. Transfer students should complete as much as possible, depending on their current status. It is the policy of the BAE Department that students must have the plan of work up-to-date prior to scheduling an appointment for advising (as, for example, to schedule the next semester's courses). The plan should have any modifications completed at least one day prior to the appointment, since the system is updated overnight. That will give the advisor the opportunity to see the revised plan before/during the meeting. After any modifications to the plan, send an email to your advisor to let him/her know that your plan has been revised and needs approval. While the university may not yet officially require the complete plan of work of all students, it is something that needs to be done. It is well worth the small effort involved. Modifications Are AllowedThe plan, even after approval by the advisor, is not "set in stone." The plan can be changed at any time, subject to advisor approval.
