Some quick facts about the Biological and Agricultural Engineering graduate program and its student population.
Did you know?
Our faculty is nationally and internationally recognized for its excellence and our graduates are well placed in responsible positions throughout the state, nation, and the world.
Our Environmental Engineering faculty are actively involved in projects to improve the environment in the state of North Carolina, the US, and the world. See the Active Grants pdf.
This is the home of the Drainmod modeling program. Drainmod is widely used throughout the world by consulting engineers, researchers and government agencies. Many environmental students are interested in aspects of hydrology, water management, drainage, irrigation, and water quality; these are also areas of environmental strength for which our faculty are well respected in the scientific community.
Our Bioprocess Engineering studies offer students the opportunity to work in an exciting, and rapidly developing field. Discoveries involving biological materials are very much in the forefront of today's innovations. Graduates working in this area can have experiences in both laboratory and field setting. North Carolina and the greater Triangle region (cities surrounding Raleigh) are quickly becoming a prominent hub for the Biotech industry.
Our Agricultural Engineering studies offer students the opportunity to work with GPS, automatic control systems, precision technologies, and new production equipment. What better place to learn agricultural engineering than in a state where the number 1 business is Agriculture?
